Your new teacher may also help you pick a quality instrument.

Before you start, think about your goals, and your favorite music or songs to play. Then you can choose an instrument that works for your goals and in the music that you like – it could be violin, guitar, or flute.

Effects of learning music: Many studies have shown that playing and learning music lowers blood pressure and reduces stress and anxiety. Playing an instrument enhances your creative skills and helps to forge deeper connections with your friends and family, especially if you play music with them.

Learning music requires dedication and teamwork. First, you’ll need to work as a team with your teacher to help you move toward your goals. And when you play music with others, you’ll have to pay attention to the other performers and watch their facial expressions and body language and their sound in case of group performances. Some research showed that music develops the left side of the brain, which improves language processing and reasoning. Plus, it’s a whole lot of fun!
